Sound Level

This page provides insights into the data from the sound sensor, measured in dBa unit. The charts are based on data representing the average sound level per day for each resource.

1. Overall Sound Level dBa Gauge Chart

Description

The gauge chart displays the overall average sound level, based on the selected filter. It provides insights at the building level or floor level but does not show resource-level average sound level.

Use Case

  • Helps monitor overall sound level.

2. Overall Sound Level KPI Card

Description

The KPI chart displays the overall average sound level, based on the selected filter. It provides insights at the building level or floor level but does not show resource-level average sound level.

Note: For resource-level average sound level, refer to the separate KPI cards below.

Use Case

  • Track if sound levels exceed recommended thresholds.

3. Sound Level by Resource

Description

The Sound Level by Resource chart provides an overview of the average sound concentration for each resource. It includes reference lines indicating predefined sound status thresholds.

Use Case

  • Identify areas with excessive sound levels.

  • Ensure that sound levels remain within acceptable limits.

4. Average Sound Level KPI cards for Resource

Description

The KPI cards display the values and trends of the daily, weekly, and monthly average sound over the selected time range. The up and down arrows indicate comparisons between time periods based on the KPI chart. Additionally, a gauge chart displays the overall average sound of a resource. All these charts are filtered by the selected resource.

Use Case

  • Enables facility managers to track daily, weekly, and monthly sound trends.

5. Sound Level by Day for Resource

Description

The chart displays the sound level by weekday for the selected resource.

Use Case

  • Understand if certain days have higher sound levels.

  • Implement quiet zones or noise reduction strategies on louder days.

6. Sound Level Trend for Resource

Description

The chart displays the sound level trend for the selected time frame and resource.

Use Case

  • Optimize workspace design based on sound trends.

  • Compare sound trends over different periods to track improvements.

7. Summary Table

Description

The summary table displays the raw data for sound sensor within the selected time range. This data is used to create the above charts. Users can download the data as a CSV file or create their own charts from the summary table.

Use Case

  • Investigate fluctuations in average daily sound level.

  • Allows users to export data for further analysis or reporting.
