We’re excited to announce a new update to our mobile app that makes managing your resource bookings easier than ever! With this release, you can now edit or cancel your bookings directly from the home page. Here’s a closer look at what’s new:
Edit resource bookings: Made a mistake or need to update your booking details? No problem! Simply tap on your booking from the home page to make changes such as time, date, or other preferences without navigating through multiple screens.
Cancel resource bookings: Plans changed? Cancel your bookings in just a few taps. This feature allows you to free up resources quickly, ensuring others can make use of the availability.
Faster access: Manage your bookings directly from the app home page, saving time and effort.
Improved flexibility: Stay in control of your schedule and make changes on the go.
Streamlined experience: No more hunting through menus—your bookings are right where you need them.
Open the app and go to the home page.
Tap on any active booking to access the new options to edit or cancel.
Follow the prompts to update your booking details or confirm the cancellation.
Currently editing recurring meetings is not supported on the mobile application.
This feature is designed to simplify your experience and provide greater control over your resource scheduling.
A minor update to support the addition of the new 'Zone' resource.
After much customer demand, we have improved the way we handle ‘All Day’ desk bookings in Outlook and Google calendars.
‘All Day’ desk bookings will now appear at the top of your calendar to avoid cluttering your day to day meetings and tasks.
This configuration will now be the default way we represent ‘All Day’ desk bookings in Outlook and Google calendar.
You can however revert this back to display as working hours by turning ‘All Day Calendar Display’ to ‘on’ in your company or building settings.
Private Meeting Support
Added support for 'Private Meetings' by including a tick box on the room booking form. When this is ticked, all details about the meeting will be hidden on the UMA booking panel and within UMA or your third party calendar. The meeting details will only be visible to the participants of the meeting.
Loading Time
We've sped up the loading time of the mobile app and reduced some of the waiting times by shortening the animations.
UI Improvements
A number of UI improvements have been made to the mobile application including a re-design of the home page to bring in line with the our latest brand styles.
Book via Map
We have added the ability to book desks or meeting rooms via a map view of their company's floor plan. Users will be able to select 'Book via Map' and be presented with a floor plan view of the floor they've chosen as default in their account profile. Within this view users can filter between different buildings and floors within their company should they need to, to find a resource to book. Users will be able to see live availability of resources based on how they're highlighted on the map. If a user clicks on a desk or meeting room they will be able to book the space at a date or time of their choosing.
Add a Participant / Subject / Notes
The following fields have been added to the Floor Map booking page for meeting room bookings:

With 'Add Participants' you are able to quickly search for internal participants within your company to add to the meeting. You are also able to invite external participants by adding their email address.
The subject and notes are self explanatory but gives the booking a name and a way for users to add any details about the booking such as an agenda or conference details.
Resource Description on Map
The 'Resource Description' field is now visible for mobile users as well. This will appear when the user presses on a resource on the map.
Voice Playback Setting
We have added a setting which will allow the user to turn off the voice playback of the UMA digital assistant. This setting can be found in the account profile settings.
A minor update to support the addition of the new ‘Assigned Desk’ feature on our web release.
A pop up will appear when a user attempts to book a desk that is assigned to someone else.
🏠 Home Page Update
A new and improved UI for the home page allowing you to view all your bookings and meetings for the current week.
Simply press 'Book' and you will be able to book any resources in your office. This has been updated to allow you to book desks, rooms, parking and other resources.
The chat assistant and map view have also been relocated to different tabs to allow you to book in different ways.
📹 Video Meeting Integration
Like the web version of UMA, you can now create video meetings directly from the mobile application. Using your meeting preferences you can now add your Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Cisco Webex dial in details to a meeting invite.
Quick Action Card Improvements
The quick action cards for 'Book a Room' and 'Book a Desk' have been updated with a new interface for booking.
We have removed the chat flow and replaced it with a more user friendly 'quicker' way of booking resources.
Book a Desk
When you tap on 'Book a Desk' you will be presented with the following view to allow you to select a building, floor, date and slot for booking. Once the filters have been applied you can simply tap on 'Book' to book your desired desk.
Book a Room
When you tap on 'Book a Room' you will be presented with the following view to allow you to select a building, floor, date and details for booking a meeting space. Once the filters have been applied you can simply tap on 'Book' to book your desired meeting room.
Map View Update
An update to 'Book via Map' to allow users to select a date and time from the map page. This will enable users to see available resources for a later date or time.
Users will now also be able to see the desk bookings they've made from the map view. Your own desk bookings will appear in a dark blue colour.
Desk Booking Check In
Checking into a desk booking gives others users and managers the visibility that you are coming into the office that day. It helps with understanding and predicting occupancy levels along with keeping the office safe and secure.
After opening the UMA mobile application you should see your desk booking under 'Today's Desk Bookings'. You should only be able to check into your desk booking an hour before it starts. When your desk booking is available to be checked in you should see the 'Check In Available' status.
Date Format Setting
A date format setting has been added to the account profile. This will allow you to view date format in either of the following formats:
DD/MM/YYYY
MM/DD/YYYY
This setting is replicated from web to mobile so if any changes are made in mobile they will be made in the web version as well.
In our latest UMA Book version, we have made it easier for users to change preferences from within the mobile application. The user preference section allows you to change the following details without logging in to the web admin page.

We have also spent some time improving our user interface and made it easier to book desks and meeting rooms from our quick buttons. We have also made some additional improvements to the stability of the application.
