Our Christmas release delivers a collection of meaningful UX improvements, admin enhancements, and a brand-new Kontakt.io integration, all designed to make UMA clearer, faster, and easier to manage day to day.
From better visibility of live data and bookings, to smoother admin workflows and smarter notifications, this release focuses on reducing friction and improving confidence across the platform.
✨ What’s New
🔌 Kontakt.io Portal Beam Integration
UMA now integrates with Kontakt.io Portal Beam sensors, enabling real-time people count and ESG data to flow directly into the platform.
What this unlocks:
Live occupancy data from Kontakt.io rooms and zones
Support for both room occupancy and footfall-based occupancy

My Floor (via resource hover)
This integration allows facilities and workplace teams to combine booking data and real-world usage, improving space planning and operational decisions.
📊 Live Indicator for Real-Time Insights
It’s now instantly clear when Insights data is live.
A subtle Live indicator appears in the sidebar and Insights header when real-time sensor data is active

🛎️ Desk Check-In Notifications
Never miss a desk check-in again.
A new notification bell appears in the top navigation
Desk bookings that require check-in surface automatically during the check-in window
One-click Check In directly from the notification panel
Badge counts update in real time
Designed to reduce missed check-ins and remove unnecessary navigation.
✏️ Links in Visitor Invitations & Meeting Descriptions
You can now add clickable links to:
Visitor invitations
Meeting descriptions
Perfect for sharing:

Meeting links (Teams, Zoom)

Links are secure, validated, and open safely in a new tab.
🧭 UX & Booking Improvements
📌 Instant Booking Visibility
After creating a booking on My Floor and clicking 'Show Booking', you will be taken directly to My Bookings, with your newly created booking clearly highlighted, making it easy to confirm everything worked as expected.
🗓️ Clearer Date Context on My Floor
The My Floor header now clearly shows whether you’re viewing:
Today
Tomorrow
Or a specific date
A small change that removes confusion when navigating days.
👤 Clearer “Book on Behalf Of” Context
When booking on behalf of another user, the booking drawer now clearly states: “New booking for <user>”, reinforcing who the booking is for and reducing mistakes.
🧑💼 Admin & Power-User Enhancements
🧾 Audit Logs for UMA Calendar
Channel Admins can now view a full audit trail of booking activity (built in calendar only).
See what happened, when, where, and by whom
Filter by organiser, date, location or status
Covers create, update, delete, and release actions
This brings much-needed transparency and traceability to calendar activity.
🏢 Manage Floors Directly from Building Settings
Admins can now create, edit, and delete floors directly from the Building Settings page.
No onboarding flow required
Clear confirmation when deleting floors
Resources are safely unassigned (not deleted)
Clean empty states and long-name handling
Managing buildings is now faster and more intuitive.
🧩 Multi-Select Resources for Neighbourhoods
When configuring neighbourhoods, admins can now:
Select multiple resources at once
See selected resources clearly
Work with alphabetically ordered lists
A big time-saver for larger buildings.
📡 Improved NEAT Device Search
Managing NEAT devices is now easier with:
Serial number search (full or partial)
Case-insensitive matching
Combined search across name, type, resource, and serial number
Ideal for faster device identification during auto-scan imports.
📊 Meetings Overlay in Insights
Admins can now overlay meetings directly onto Insights charts.
Toggle “Show Meetings” when viewing a single day
Meetings appear as bars based on start/end time
Helps correlate bookings with sensor data
This bridges the gap between planned and actual usage.
🔑 Unassign Analytics Pro Licences
Admins can now unassign Analytics Pro licences from users and reassign them later, giving more flexibility in licence management.
🔐 Forgot Password for Local Authentication
Users who sign in with local authentication can now securely reset their password directly from the login page.
