# Insights

### Overview

The insights dashboard offers a robust functionality, enabling you to integrate numerous sensors into a single area and display their data collectively on a unified chart at the space level.

To utilise this feature, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Dashboard: Select the specific area within your building where you wish to visualise your sensor data. If you haven't added a relevant device yet, you'll first need to do so from the **devices** page.
2. View Data on the Chart: As the sensors gather data, the chart will present multiple metrics on a singular graph. This allows you to examine and analyse the data, providing valuable insights into the environmental conditions within that space.
3. Export the Data: As with all data points in UMA, you can export the charts in CSV format. This allows you to cross reference data points, for example, allowing you to analyse how temperature correlates with occupancy.

### Device page insights

In addition to the main dashboard, you can also visualise Insights on the device page.

Now, when you access specific IoT devices or sensors, you can view detailed insights and historical data related to that device.

<mark style="color:blue;">**VOC Index**</mark>

VOC Index is a standard measurement where the current room conditions are indexed against a rolling average of the last 24 hours. The simplest way to interpret the result is:

| <mark style="color:blue;">**VOC Index**</mark> | <mark style="color:blue;">**Status**</mark> |
| ---------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| less than 100 | less VOC's than the previous 24 hour average |
| 100 | the same as the previous 24 hour average |
| more than 100 | more VOC's than the previous 24 hour average |

<mark style="color:blue;">**VOC (PPB)**</mark>

| <mark style="color:blue;">**VOC (PPB)**</mark> | <mark style="color:blue;">**Status**</mark> |
| ---------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |

| 400 – 2000 ppb | Poor |
